Maintenance of generators coupled to LM6000 turbines
Identify the generator in your LM6000 package correctly. This determines the tests, spares and work appropriate to the installed electrical machine.

Scope starts with your equipment
LM6000 identifies a GE Vernova aeroderivative gas turbine family. It does not by itself identify the coupled generator’s manufacturer, model or rating. TEMISA’s scope concerns the alternator and excitation after review of their nameplates and documentation.
Separate the two nameplates
Request the generator nameplate as well as LM6000 package information. Confirm manufacturer, model, serial number, MVA, kV, rpm and cooling.
Review operating duty
Record starts, operating hours, idle periods and generator alarms. Review these alongside the generator manufacturer’s guidance and previous tests.
Agree interfaces
Define generator, excitation, coupling, access and responsibilities with the turbine team. Turbine intervention is outside this proposal’s scope.

Does LM6000 identify a generator model?
LM6000 names the turbine. The installed alternator must be identified from its own nameplate; its manufacturer or rating should not be assigned solely from the turbine designation.
Do turbine intervals automatically apply to the generator?
Not automatically. Outage windows can be coordinated, but generator intervention depends on its design, guidance, history and condition.
How does TEMISA Power Gen service GE Vernova equipment?
TEMISA Power Gen is an independent multi-brand service shop; the manufacturer's name identifies the equipment serviced. This proposal covers the generator, not the LM6000 turbine.
