Industrial generator replacement and installation
TEMISA Power Gen assesses generator replacement as a complete sequence: survey, uncoupling, removal, lifting, transport, positioning and installation. The scope is defined around nameplates, access and equipment interfaces, including plant responsibilities and the subsequent stages needed to return the train to operation.

Stages of an industrial generator replacement
- 01
Dimensional survey
Review nameplates, machine and base geometry, enclosure dimensions, exit route and support points.

| Stage | TEMISA | Plant |
|---|---|---|
| Information and planning | Technical review and proposed scope, resources and deliverables. | Nameplates, available drawings, access, restrictions and intervention window. |
| Preparation and handling | Personnel, tools and auxiliary frames as stated in the proposal. | Permits, safety coordination and equipment release under agreed responsibilities. |
| Crane and transport | Specification and coordination of the resources included in the contract. | Confirm plant-supplied resources and entry and receiving conditions. |
| Installation and closeout | Activity record, installation checks and assembly documentation. | Coordinate interfaces with other providers and site operating authorizations. |
Reference allocation: each project proposal confirms resources and responsibilities.

Service traceability
TEMISA’s ISO 9001:2015 quality management system provides document control and traceability; it does not by itself certify the serviced generator.
The scope should identify responsible personnel, instruments, calibration records and acceptance criteria for each verification.
TEMISA was formally established in 1954. Credentials and their limits are reviewed against the specific service. Company background and credentials →
Experience that helps define a scope
The IDEAL ELECTRIC case, retaining-ring removal case and Stamford enclosure note document three needs: replacing a machine, opening a rotor for inspection and planning removal constrained by access.

From your equipment to a defined scope
Share the information you have. We will review conditions to define resources, responsibilities and project stages.
- Nameplates for the existing generator, replacement and prime mover.
- Photographs of equipment, connections, base, enclosure and access.
- Verified dimensions and mass, plus support and handling documentation.
- Extraction and receiving routes; transport origin and destination.
- Project location, entry restrictions and planned intervention window.
- Required stages and resources supplied by each party.
